I think that for a teacher to be competent in the classroom today they must evaluate themselves on a yearly basis. Every class, and student is different and teaching material changes over time. techn   ology is also a key element in the classroom. A teacher must stay up to date and be proficient on the  confused aspects of the technology world. I believe a teacher should be able to adapt to different classroom settings, students and situations as they are presented.
